A house for the
quietest member.
Velmurr was founded on a small frustration: that nothing made for cats quite belonged in the homes we cared about. We set out to design furniture that earns its place — beside the chair, the lamp, the vase — and happens to be loved by cats.
Materials
Honest, slow, and few.
Each Velmurr piece is made from a tight palette of natural materials — European oak, undyed Italian bouclé, hand-bound sisal, food-safe stoneware. We avoid synthetic dyes and finishes; the pieces age, soften and patina with the rooms they live in.
We produce in small batches with a family-run atelier in northern Portugal, the same workshop that has built our prototypes since the very first sketch.
